Game 12, at Home, WANG GET OUT!

No comment on the pitching, Yankees got out on a great start, 2 runs scored in the first thanks to a Teixeira home run, then in the sixth with a Cabrera home run to score 2 as well.

WANG go to minors. New starter needed for the Yankees! All the pitchers that played today had at least 1 run on them, some went through the whole line up in one inning, WANG..

Well I can tell you I will not watch Wangs next start, just mark it down as an L. No thanks, I want to remember the Yankees as when good pitchers have pitched, Pettitte, Chamberlain, BURNETT! Give all Wangs starts to Burnett and Burnett will still have a lower ERA than him even when hes exhausted. Wang cannot make it out of the first inning.

Game 12, at Home, Miranda, Nady, Wang again?

Yesterday, before the game, Juan Miranda was brought up to help the Yankees if Teixeira or Matsui had any more trouble then they could handle. Miranda played 1st for the Yankees Triple A minor league team, but he may be getting major league experience here real quick. If Matsui's knee keeps giving him trouble, or if Teixeira's hand starts hurting again, Miranda will be in the game. Miranda has a .361 AVG with the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees, with 13 hits, 13 RBIs, and 3 home runs.

After an MRI, 2 X-Rays, and a CT scan this week, team doctors still do not know what is causing Nady's elbow to hurt. They found bone and ligament damage but are unsure of how much is old or new. Nady will go for another MRI to see if new information comes up.

Wang will pitch tonight, how long is uncertain. I say get him out at first sign of trouble. Like when the opposing team get 2-4 runs in the first, or when they get 5 runs in an innings. Come on Wang, you're a Yankee, you've been a Yankee, you know what is expected of you. Get your pitches straight, or curved, whatever but make them so hitters cannot hit them all right?

Tonight's game is at 3:40 at New Yankee Stadium.

Game 11, at home, the Game

Well the Indians strike first with a DeRosa home run in the first. The Yankees don't score until the third with home runs by Damon and Teixeira. In the top of the forth the Indians come back with a single RBI to tie it up, 2-2. Cabreras home run in the bottom gets the Yankees ahead again, 2-3. In the top of the fifth the Indians get 3 to take the lead, 5-3. The Yankees score 1 run in the sixth, seventh, and eight to eventually get the lead and the win. In the sixth it was a Cano home run, seventh was an error to score Damon, and the eight was a home run by Jeter.

With 5 runs being scored by home runs, yesterdays game looked more like batting practice than a game. Damon had a great game going 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks.

Today Wang pitches again, well good thing the Yankees won yesterday. Wang has an ERA of 28.93 in just 4.2 innings. All right, lets get it down. The Yankees are hitting, having not scored less than 4 runs except for New Yankee Stadium opening day. Well I guess they deserve it having spoiled when the Rays got their AL Champion rings.

Game 10, AT HOME! The Game

Its a slow start for both teams today, both having only scored 1 run before the sixth. The Indians scored first in the forth off a Shoppach double. The Yankees scored in the fifth off a Posada home run.

Sabathia pitched an all right 5.2 innings. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits with 4 strike outs and 5 walks. 5 walks? Come on Sabathia, lets get those walks down now, you're a Yankee in Yankee Stadium, no more of this Indians and Brewers stuff. Lets get the strike outs. Edwar Ramirez was put in in the sixth with two already out and loads the bases. Phil Coke is brought in to cool things down and get the third out. Veras was put in in the seventh and gave a walk on 4 pitches to start off then a double to move the runners to second and third.

Veras allows 2 runs with 0 strike outs and 1 walk. Good work. Marte is put in who loads the bases again, still no outs in the seventh. 1 run is let in by him. Marte walks in a run. 4-1. Gary Sizemore hits a grand slam. Wow bullpen looking good tonight. Then a home run by Martinez. Bullpen looking GREAT!!

Cano singles in the seventh to score Cabrera and show that the Yankees still have life. David Robertson comes in in the top of the eighth and strikes out 2 with a ground out. Why couldn't the rest of the bullpen do that just an inning ago? Come on now, pathetic.

Teixeira was taken out, replaced by Cabrera at 4th in the line up, and played in right field while Swisher went to 1st base. After going 0-2 with a strike out it is easy to see why. Maybe that wrist is still bothering him..?

Well I for one can not wait for Rodriguez to get back. After watching Ransom go 0-6 with 2 strike outs tonight, leaving 9 on base, it only reminded me that, somehow, this game could be closer, scorewise, than 10-2.

Game 10, AT HOME!

Today is the day New Yankee Stadium Opens! The Yankees take on the Indians behind their Ace, CC Sabathia. Sabathia will go up against Lee for the Indians, 1-1, 0-2 respectively.

Yogi Berra will throw out the first pitch in the New Yankee Stadium. There will be an opening ceremony lasting an hour before the opening pitch, I won't be able to watch it, but I'm sure people will enjoy what the Yankees have to offer.

Game 9 at Tampa Bay, the Game

The Rays strike first in the bottom of the third, after a great double play by the Yankees, 0-2. In the top of the forth, however, the Yankees tie it up with a Cano home run to score Swisher as well. And in the bottom of the forth Pena hit a home run for the Rays to give them back the lead, 2-3.

In the top of the eighth, the Yankees tie it back up with a Jeter double then a Damon double to score Jeter. And in the top of the ninth, the kicker, Ransom doubles and scores off a Jeter single to make the final 4-3 win.

Andy Pettitte pitched 7.1 innings with 6 hits, 3 earned runs, and only 1 walk. He does not get the win, however, because the Yankees didn't tie it up until the eight, after Pettitte was taken out, so Bruney gets the W for 2 strike outs. Rivera gets his second save of the year.

Jeter had a great game, going 2-4 with a walk, with an RBI and scoreing a run. Cano also had a good game, going 2-4 with 2 RBIs.

Game 9 at Tampa Bay

Today Pettitte goes for his second win of the season, he sets up against Sonnanstine for the Rays. 1-0 gainst 0-1. Last start Pettitte let the Royals have 1 earned run on 3 hits in 7 innings. Lets hope he has another great start while the line up takes care of the lead.

I am excited because the Red Sox lost last night, Athletics tore Matsuzaka apart. He was taken out after just 1 inning, giving up 5 earned runs off of 5 hits with 2 walks. Sweet. Ortiz 0-5, Varitek 0-4, Ellsbury, 1-5. Makes me happy.

Game 8 at Tampa Bay, the Game, Whats wrong with Wang?

Before the game today, the Yankees took another look at their line up and their options. Mark Teixeira is back, batting third, Pena replaces Ransom at third, Damon's taking a break, and Molina is catching today while Posada DHs. Gardner, Jeter, Teixeira, Swisher, Posada, Cano, Nady, Pena, and Molina is how it is going to be tonight.

In the first the Yankees had the bases loaded against Garza, but only scored 1 run off Posada's sacrifice fly. It's OK because in the forth, Swisher hit a home run to make it 2-0.

Rays didn't get a hit off of Burnett until the seventh inning. Wow. He held them off for 7, but then they scored off three staright hits and then on a sacrifice fly. 2-2

In the eight the Yankees had a good inning. Gardner doubled, followed by Jeter's single, the a Teixeira sacrifice fly to score 1. Then in the ninth Gardner hit a ground rule double to score Cano. After that Jeter hits a home run with 2 runners on to give the Yankees a lead of 7-2.

Gardner and Jeter had great nights both going 3-5 Gardner with 1 RBI but scoring 3 times, jeter with 3 RBIs and scoring 1. Swisher also had a great night going 2-4 with a double and a home run.

Burnett went 8 innings with only 2 earned runs scored off of 3 hits in the seventh. 6 hitless innings for Burnett against the Rays. 9 strike outs with only 1 walk. Bruney went in in the ninth to finish it up. 3 strike outs did it, good for him.

"He's[Wang] not finishing pitches physically like he should be," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "What that stems from, I can't exactly tell you. We know he's healthy and we know he's had some good sessions. We're trying to get to the bottom of it and address all the areas." Wang had trouble in the middle of last year too, then he made adjustments, fixed his sinker, and had 2 great starts before he got hurt. "Everyone is going to say, 'What's wrong with Chien-Ming Wang?' We believe that he's going to turn it around. I don't think you forget how to pitch from last June." No worries on my part.

Game 8 at Tampa Bay, Williams Video, Preview,

Bernie Williams music video premiers today at MLB.com. It was the last video shot in old Yankee Stadium. Amazing video if you ask me, shows all the great shots of Williams and the 1998 1999 2000 World Series. Find it here http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200904134133845

Anyways, Burnette goes for his second win tonight at 7:08 in Tampa Bay. Lets keep it less than 9 runs in the first 2 innings, shall we? He faces off against Garza who is also 1-0.

In my opinion Swisher did great pitching last night. Got himself a strike out and they did not score any runs against him. Can you imagine what happened in the dugout before he took the mound. "Put me in coach, I can do it. Just one inning, it can't get any worse can it?"

1st and 10 talked about Yankee fans worrying. No, it is not time to start worrying. Their 7 games into you. Red Sox and Tampa Bay will not be the top 2 teams. I never liked that guy anyways. whoever that guy is.

Tonight, 7:08, Game 8. I will be watching it, on gameday. It saddens me that Yankees Opening Day won't be on ESPN, they showed Mets opening day and they lost. Come on.

Game 7 at Tampa Bay, the Game

Chien-Ming Wang off to a worse start then his first game. 8 earned runs in just 1 innings with 3 walks. Could have been worse, they could have left him in. Wow so Yankees looking for a new starter I guess. ERA of 28.93. I do not think he will be able to get that down to a reasonable number unless he wins all the rest of his starts with at least 6 innings with less than 2 runs per game until the All Star break. WOW.

Well I guess the bullpen did not do a whole lot better. Albaladejo allowed 3 runs in 3 innings. Ramirez allowed 1 run in 2 innings. Phil Coke allowed 3 unearned in 1 inning.

Overall just a bad game for pitching. I wanted it to end in the second. Hitting, on the other hand, the line up was doing just as good as before. Posada went 2 for 4, Swisher hit a home run, He is a good hitter with 10 RBIs already. Maybe us Yankee fans have our new Captain when Jeter gets to old. Maybe. And I guess he pitched too. huh, in the eighth, it says Nick Swisher pitches. So I guess hes a pitcher too. He had a strike out.

I am saddened with Wangs performance thus far. He can't even get through 3 innings, poor guy. He needs to turn it around and quick. If the Yankees have the best starters, he has got to start living up to it. And he better not get good right before interleague play and then mess up his ankle again. Nono..

Game 7 at Tampa Bay, Wang, Riguez, and a whole lot more

Chien-Ming Wang goes for his first win tonight. Lets hope he can keep the Rays on a tight leash tonight, then the line up can get it for him. Still hitting 4 runs a game, if the bullpen can finish the game without a problem light last night, he'll get it. Kazmir got a win his first start, with a 1.50 ERA. That makes Wangs ERA of 17.18 look astronomical. Oh boy, it'll be intresting tonight.

Rodriguez is back in action, kind of. He did a 50 minute workout and felt good. I just hope when he gets back hes better than ever.

In other news Beckett, for the Red Sox, is an IDIOT! Wow thats great, throwing a ball right at Bobby Abreu's head. "That was as flagrant as anything I've seen in this game," Mike Scioscia, the Angels Manager, said. I guess Beckett was taking a long time to get set up, which set Abreu to call time, which the umpire gave him, and Becketts throw was way off the mark, Being set up low and away by Varitek. Then after the ball was thrown fingers were pointed Beckett was upset, came to home plate and started "talking smack" to Abreu. Boy that makes me kind of happy, Becketts just showing the Red Sox for what they really are. Angels won 5-4 dispite having 3 starters thrown out.

Game 6 at Kansas City, the Game

Teixeira still out with his sore wrist. In the first Gardner scores on a wild pitch. Kansas City gets 1 in the third and 2 in the forth then in the seventh Nady doubles to score Swisher then Cano gets on base by a fielding error, which scores Matsui, and then Cabrera hits into a double play but its ok because Nady scores in the process. Unfortunetly the bullpen can't hold onto the lead.

Jose Veras gave 1 run then Phil Coke gave the 2 runs for the lead. Coke is charged with the blown save. It is ok though, its really early, good time to make mistakes and be 3-3 rather than make mistakes and be tied with the Red Sox for 1st at 91-63 or something. Thats when it counts, April does not matter. Chamberlain pitched 4 innings, gave 4 hits, only 1 earned run, 1 walk and 5 strike outs.

In other news, Red Sox lose. So it's all good. Next game is tomorrow at Tampa Bay where Rodriguez is suposed to meet them. He will not play but it'll be a morale lifter, I guess.

Tomorrow at 7:08, Rays home opener. Wang is to try again for his first win against Kazmir.

Game 6 at Kansas City

Chamberlain's first start. He squares off against Meche for the Royals. When I went to a game at spring training, he started and he looked really good so we will have to see if he can hold them off. With the Yankees haveing not scored fewer than 4 runs a game, he should have no trouble if he can hold them below 3.
