Game 18, at Fenway

Today is game 2 of the 3 game series. Burnett vs. Beckett.

Yankees get off to an early lead in the first scoring 2 off Swisher single and Posada single. Then the Yankees score 2 more in the third off a Cano home run with Teixeira on base. 4-0. In the forth the Yankees score 2 more again off a Cano double with Jeter and Teixeira on base. 6-0

Red Sox didn't score till the forth and they made it count, scoring 5. All right 6-5, could be worse. In the fifth the Red Sox score 3 more to make it 6-8.

Damon ties it up in the sixth with a home run with Jeter on. 8-8. In the bottom of the sixth the Red Sox get another to make it 8-9. Then in the seventh the Yankees score 2 more on a error for a Damon hit to make it 10-9 but they get them back in the bottom for a 10-12 score.

Cano hit another home run in the eighth to make it 11-12. Red Sox get 4. And that's how it ends, ladies and gentlemen, 11-16.

Burnett was great in 3, lost it all in the forth. Pitching all together was not very good, for either team. 27 runs in a game is not good pitching at all.

Jeter went 2-4 with 2 walks. Teixeira was walked 5 times, good on base percentage. Cano went 3-6 with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. Posada went 2-4 with a walk and an RBI.

Garnder went 1-5 and struck out. Come on Rodriguez, get better faster!

Game 17, at Fenway

Well there they are. At Fenway. To put into action the biggest rivalry in MLB history. Yankees and Red Sox. Lets watch.

The Red Sox score first in the first off of a past pitch. Long game it'll be. Yankees score 2 in the forth off a Ransom double a Jeter ground out. Red Sox get 1 back in the sixth but the Yankees score 2 more in the seventh Teixeira single and Cano sacrifice fly. It all looked good, at 4-2 until the ninth.

Oh Rivera, your first blown save could not have come against a worst team. Oh well. You're still my favorite pitchers. He gave up 2 in the ninth off 2 run home run to Bay. It's early. Get it back tomorrow.

Chamberlain started off good, allowing only 2 off 9 hits but with 4 walks and only 2 strike outs. No Yankee did especially well except Molina who went 2-3 with 2 walks. It's a game like tonight that I wish Rodriguez was back. Ya Ransom, you had a double and scored a run, but that was it with a strike out. The Yankees need his power back.

Weekend Series at Fenway..Yay..part 2

So New Yankee Stadium home run hitting heaven? Nah, majority of the home runs were hit in that embarrassing Wang start. 8 in one game, almost a third of all. So, ya I think all this talk about the New Yankee Stadium being great for home runs, mostly just something to talk about to fill the void. Whatever, the average will go down with the season and this will all just blow over.

Other News, last night the Rangers get a third win over the number 2 Capitals. Great for them, a number 7 one game away from beating a number 2. Next game is tomorrow in Washington, shouldn't be too bad because they already won 2 there, outscoring the capitals 5-3, with a shutout in game 2. Come on just 1 more.

Other Other News, Red Bulls take on Kansas City Wizards in KC on ESPN2.

Weekend Series at Fenway..Yay..

I think that it is no mistake that the Yankees play the Red Sox on the weekend. Give the drunks at Fenway plenty of time to get out there and drink and what not. Of course it would be the same at New Yankee Stadium, but that is not the point. Let them go in there and give the drunks something to throw up about, besides the booze. 3 Yankees wins! haha man I wish.

Joba Chamberlain goes for his first W after 2 undecided. He will take on Jon Lester. Their ERAs are pretty close, 5.06 and 5.50, so it'll come down to how the line ups feel, I guess.

Then on Saturday A.J. Burnette goes for his third win after 2 wins and an undecided. He goes up against Josh Beckett. Again the ERAs are a pretty good match up, 3.20 and 3.79. It'll be interesting.

Pettitte will pitch Sunday. We do not know who against though.

When Joba pitches on Friday I just hope the bullpen can let him have it this time. And for Burnett, lets hope the line up can hit early to get him a lead instead of waiting till the seventh.

All in all, it'll be a great weekend. No blow outs with Wang out, I hope. Come on Wang, you're good, I know it, Yankees team knows it. Get it straight.

Game 1 of the series, Friday, 7:10. Game 2, Saturday, 4:10, on Fox. Game 3, Sunday, 8:05, on ESPN. Man will my weekend be busy. LETS GO YANKEES!!

Game 16 at Home, Gainst the Athletics

Athletics strike first in the third, hitting a 3 run homer. In the bottom, the Yankees get 2 back off a Matsui home run, and a Cabrera home run.

In the third the Athletics get one more, but the Yankees come back and score 2 with an RBI out from Cano and a RBI single for Swisher. Derek Jeter hits a home run in the forth to give the Yankees their first lead of the game. 4-5.

The Athletics are still in it, scoring 1 in the sixth and 2 in the seventh while the Yankees only score 2 in the sixth with a Ransom RBI double then a Jeter RBI double. 7-7 until fourteenth.

After nothing for four and a half extra innings, Swisher walks and Cabrera hits him home. Game winner, walk off home run. 7-9 final.

Cabrera had a great night with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. Sabathia went 6.2 innings, 7 runs, with 4 walks and 2 strike outs. Come on 4 walks? Man get your pitches right, please.

Rivera pitched the ninth but it was not a save opportunity. More of a dont make it harder for the line up to win opportunity.

Game 15 at Home, Gainst the Athletics

Yankees strike first in the second. After a Swisher walk and Matsui double, a Gardner single scores both of them. With Jeter batting, Gardner steals second, then a Jeter single gets him to third. Damon singles to score Gardner, then Teixeira singles to score Jeter.

The Athletics score 2 in the forth on a couple singles and what not. Damon hits a home run in the sixth. Final score 3-5.

Rivera got the one and only strike out in the ninth for the Yankees. It doesn't matter because Pettitte pitched great, giving only 2 runs with 0 walks.

Jeter went 2 for 4 with a walk and scoring a run. Posada also went 2 for 4. Matsui went 2 for 3 also with a walk and scoring a run.

Game 14 at Home, Rained Out..A-Rod and Matsui

Today's game was rained out. I was rather mad because I was all ready to watch it right after practice, but couldn't because a Pirates game was on. Man was I confused. The game will be made up in July, round the 23rd in New York.

Pettitte will pitch tomorrow at 7:05.

In other news, Rodriguez is feeling better, completing on field drills, all except full out sprints. He hit 10 home runs on 75 pitches thrown to him. Lets home he is back in quick, no offense to Ransom, but I would like to see more than 0-3 with a strike out or two.

Matsui's knee was drained on Thursday. Yummy, maybe now he will feel a little more comfortable in the batters box. 6 for 31 can be improved upon.

Game 13 at home, the Game

The Yankees first hit did not come until the forth inning, when they had gone through the first three innings, one, two, three, and were losing 3-0. Jeter doubles with Gardner already out, so it was like they had started the game all over with. Teixeira hit a single to score Jeter.

Nothing interesting happened again until the seventh when Cano hit a double then Matsui hit a single to score Cano. Then Posada hits a home run, which was reviewed for about 10 minutes. I was scared, I thought the umps were going to call it a double. Anyways, 3-4 Yankees on top.

In the eighth inning, after 2 outs, Swisher doubles, then Cano is intentionally walked, then Matsui walks. When Ransom got up to bat I almost changed the channel because he had already gone 0-3. But he came through this time, hitting a double, scoreing 3 RBIs. I was amazed, never again will I doubt a player. Final score, 3-7 Yankees.

Burnett has a shaky start pitching 6.1 innings, giving 3 earned runs, on 4 hits with 7 walks. Unfortunately Burnett left the game before the Yankees got the lead back so he does not get the win.

Tomorrows game is the start of the last series in this endless game rotation. The Yankees host the Athletics at New Yankee Stadium for a 3 game series. Pettitte takes on Eveland for the Athletics. Tomorrow is game 13 of 15 in a row.

Game 13 at home, Burnett

Today the Yankees play the Indians again. Burnett is pitching so the Indians should be held a little stronger than yesterday.

Wangs short outings are making it real tough on all the Yankees to win games. From the bullpen being called in to finish a game 1.1 innings into it, to the lineup who have to make up for a 14 run inning, which can rarely be done.

Todays game is at 1:05 at New Yankee Stadium.
